Towards Emu Bay, Neil Sheppard

September 25, 2016 By Sha Menz

Towards Emu Bay, Neil Sheppard

Limited edition, fine art reproduction of original oil painting by the late Neil Sheppard, 120 x 60 cm, stretched canvas archival pigments, museum quality, $1400

Available for immediate purchase in our online store

Neil Sheppard (Shep) was one of five Kangaroo Island artists who collaborated in an Art Feast tradition for eight consecutive years at a Sunset Winery art show curated by Fleur Peters. It was the first of more than 20 collaborative events to exhibit his vibrant paintings, including the sell-out Colours of Ozone in 2006, eighteen month solo exhibition Shep On Dauncey in 2008 and Shep in Relief which raised more than $7K for Overseas Children’s Aid Association.

It was of course natural when Fine Art Kangaroo Island was established that Shep was and would continue to be a feature artist. Neil was a flamboyant, generous artist who passed away in September 2015. All within the arts, and the wider Island community miss him deeply.

Together with his wife Liz, we are proud to offer newly released limited edition fine art reproductions of Neil’s
most distinctive paintings on paper or stretched canvas. This project has been planned for a number of years and Neil was able to supervise much of the initial colour proofing.

Contact the Gallery personally for a full catalogue of Neil Sheppard’s works on paper and canvas.
