Each of these Australian timber jewellery boxes is beautifully functional as well as decorative. Every piece is totally unique – use this contact form to ask us for information on dimensions and individual prices.
Keith Linnett’s family built the famous lodge where thousands of people spent their Kangaroo Island honeymoons in the sixties and seventies. Fred was actually one of them!
Keith met his wife Nellie at school on Kangaroo Island and they have been together ever since. We asked Keith, a fit healthy ex-crayfisherman in his seventies why he started working in timber. He said he’d tried setting precious gemstones, but that hadn’t worked out. One day Keith helped a bloke whose trailer had broken down and was gifted “a whole heap of Queensland timber.”
The rest, as they say, is history.
The first artisan timber objects Keith Linnett brought to us were polished tables, but it didn’t take much convincing for Keith to begin shaping these beautiful Australian timber jewellery boxes using locally grown Kangaroo Island trees. Among his most beautiful pieces are some that were worked from offcuts of the Mulberry Tree that used to grace the “Queenie” hotel lawn. This tree is said to have been struck from stock grown from the “Old Mulberry Tree” planted at Reeves Point in 1836.

Rosenberg’s goanna is found on all parts of KI – its beaches, mallee woodland, temperate forest, shrubland, fern grottos, picnic grounds and backyards – the last stronghold for this threatened species. On mainland Australia, Rosenberg’s have vanished across more than 70% of their pre-European range. and our link to a healthy world.
Direct descendant of a genuine dragon (Megalania Prisca) Rosenberg’s goanna encapsulates both elegance and nobility. This stunning piece has been produced with Rosie’s superior attitude in mind.
